Carl Schack
About
My name is Carl Schack (He/Him), I am originally from Lincoln, NE. Now based out of Brooklyn, NY! I began theatre when I was 12 years old following in my older brother’s theatrical footsteps. I graduated in May 2024 from Nebraska Wesleyan University with my BFA in Acting.
Beyond acting, I have a passion for stage combat and I have participated in many fights as well as choreographing for several projects. I also enjoy working in carpentry for theatrical projects.
Outside of theatre, I love music. I play guitar, cello, and ukulele, and dabble in many other instruments quite frequently. I love climbing trees and petting dogs whenever I can.
A Multi-Faceted Artist
Having started out in theatre, I feel the impulse to do it as much as I can - Cillian Murphy
I have surrounded myself in all aspects of theatre and because of that I believe that I am becoming the best artist that I can be and have developed a deep love and appreciation for my craft. I love sharing that passion with others however I can.
Stage Combat
I have a passion for stage combat and love to help others safely and effectively use it in performances to help tell the story. I have choreographed for several projects with many different weapons. I always enjoy learning more whenever I can.
Directing
I have directed a few projects and have loved every moment of creating and collaborating with other artists to create.

Carpentry
I have worked in theatre carpentry since high school. During my time at Nebraska Wesleyan, I got paid for my labor in the scene shop and in the summers of 2022 and 2023, I worked for the Great River Shakespeare Festival first as an apprentice carpenter and then as a professional.
